This magnesium anode rod is designed to suit Suburban Water Services / Heaters. All Suburban Hot Water Units utilise an Aaode rod. The sacrificial rod is replaced to prolong the tanks life. The anode rod can be located by the external door of the water heater. It is usually positioned in the bottom centre, and can be unscrewed for inspection or replacement. Magnesium rod equalizes the aggressive action of hot water, protecting the tank.
The anode rod is an integral part of the water heater, and should be removed for inspection regularly.
